Generative AI (GenAI) based on Large Language Models (LLM) such as ChatGPT and Bard are best known for text and image generation, but they can do a lot more.

In a business context, they unfold their benefits in many ways: problem-solving, market research, copywriting, customer support, and a lot more. This online workshop program is a modular system that provides all the expertise for almost any function and role in a company.

Artificial Intelligence, Operations, and Strategy Brought Together

Most training on GenAI focuses only on Prompt Engineering, i.e., how to write tasks for the systems that trigger good results. This knowledge is certainly fundamental, but not enough.

On one hand, we need to look at more advanced and business-related capabilities. On the other, we also need to be aware of the limitations, potential risks and possible alternatives.

In this modular workshop concept, you and your employees will get it all.

The workshop makes the most sense when embedded in business reality, more precisely, in your business reality. Therefore, the modules will be combined according to the requirements of your company, and participants will work through real challenges. As a result, they not only gain new skills, but, in the best case, solve current tasks immediately.

The different, clearly business-related modules make sure that everyone has the chance to learn the skills required for their daily work.

Gaining Routine in a Practical Phase

It is not mandatory, but it provides a lot of confidence and self-efficacy: the practical phase.

If desired, participants complete a practical phase after the training in which they solve and document a self-assigned task with the help of AI. They can draw on help and feedback from the learner community and the trainer.

Earning a Certificate

For many employees, it is an attractive incentive to obtain a certificate that officially documents their achievement. The path to it is optional. Those who choose to do so get their documentation of the practical phase graded and must pass an online multiple-choice test.

The Modular Structure of the Workshop Concept

First, participants go through a basic qualification in which they learn how to use Generative AI in a meaningful way.

Thereafter, there is a phase in which one or more domain-specific modules can be taken to learn more specific ways in which AI can be integrated into daily work.

Then begins the self-paced practice phase, where participants apply their new skills.

Those who want to can now aim for a certificate.

The minimum number of participants for every module is four.

General Module: Basic Qualifications and Prompt Engineering for Pros

This module provides basic knowledge about the use of GenAI. It is also a precondition for participation in more advanced lessons.

  • How do Generative AI and LLMs work?
  • The six Elements of successful prompt engineering
  • Potential risks and how to avoid them
  • Limitations of GenAI and their alternatives
  • Practical exercise
  • Q&A

Duration: 4 hrs.

Domain-Specific Module 1: Problem-Solving

This is a very general module that is relevant for almost any role, and therefore highly recommended.

  • Defining problems and problem analysis
  • AI for brainstorming
  • Retrieving best practices
  • Problem-solving frameworks
  • Evaluation of potential solutions

Duration: 2 hrs.

Domain-Specific Module 2: Innovation & Product Development

Innovation is one of the areas where AI can contribute greatly and accelerate innovation cycles.

  • Exploring the areas of interest
  • Defining a unique point of view
  • Ideation support
  • Prototyping / MVP
  • User Testing
  • Evaluation

Duration: 4 hrs

Domain-Specific Module 3: Market Research

AI will not replace traditional research practices, but it will speed up access to many aspects.

  • Basic market overview
  • Competitor analysis
  • Image analysis
  • Human and AI research hand in hand
  • Continuous market surveillance

Duration: 2 hrs.

Domain-Specific Module 4: Marketing

It's a natural process that marketing adopts new technologies early. People working in this discipline are always aware of the competitive pressure. That, of course, is also true for AI-supported marketing.

  • Positioning
  • Marketing planning
  • Go-to-market process planning
  • Content marketing (text, video)
  • SEM/SEO
  • Social media and direct marketing

Duration: 4 hrs.

Domain-Specific Module 5: Sales

Sales can widely be supported by AI, but for customers it should never feel like they are being treated by a computer.

  • Targeting
  • Personalized addressing
  • Generating proposals and quotes
  • Lead qualification
  • Lead nurturing
  • Funnel and workflow organization
  • Customer relationship management
  • Maintaining the human touch

Duration: 4 hrs.

Domain-Specific Module 6: Strategy

Strategy looks like a generic human task, and it is. Nonetheless, AI can support strategy tremendously, contributing to more data-driven decision-making.

  • Strategy analysis
  • Strategical frameworks
  • Support in decision-making
  • Positioning
  • Business Model Generation
  • Growth and Scaling support

Duration: 4 hrs.

Domain-Specific Module 7: Operations & Organization

This topic requires background knowledge of the company and its processes if it shall be covered appropriately. Although this is not possible in a short workshop, we can identify the many tools and methods that can be applied.

  • Workflow support, optimization, and automation
  • Performance and productivity management
  • Resource optimization
  • Predictive analysis and management (e.g. maintenance)
  • Supply chain management
  • Compliance management
  • Continuous improvement
  • Knowledge management

Duration: 4 hrs.

Domain-Specific Module 8: Controlling & Improvement

Analytical AI has already taken a firm place in controlling. This module focuses on the possibilities that generative AI can offer. Overall, analytical AI will continue to play the main role.

  • GenAI as an analytical tool: options and limitations
  • Data preparation
  • Tabular data and databases
  • Data analysis
  • Gaining valid conclusions and proposals for improvement
  • Continuous monitoring and improvement

Duration: 2 hrs.

Domain-Specific Module 9: HR Processes / People & Culture

Here we are at a point that needs highest professionality and highest sensibility. AI can significantly enhance HR processes, but we need to be vigilant regarding biases, ethical considerations, legal compliance, and the expected human quality of relations.

  • Workforce planning and automation
  • Resume screening
  • Onboarding
  • Sentiment analysis
  • Employee relations, engagement, and retention
  • Employee self-service
  • Knowledge management
  • Training
  • Feedback support and surveys
  • Compliance and privacy
  • HR analytics and reporting

Duration: 4 hrs.

Domain-Specific Module 10: Leadership Support

Although human leadership will always be based on personality, communication skills, and integrity, AI can be an additional valuable tool.

  • Daily communication
  • Workforce planning
  • Task management and prioritization
  • Performance and productivity management
  • Story telling
  • Employee feedback and engagement
  • Conflict management
  • Change management

Duration: 4 hrs.

Domain-Specific Module 11: Risk Management

Like controlling, this field is dominated by analytical AI. Nevertheless, GenAI can also contribute value and lead to faster results.

  • GenAI as an analytical tool: options and limitations
  • Market and portfolio risk analysis
  • Operational and supply chain risk analysis
  • Scenario modeling
  • Risk assessment
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Fraud detection
  • Documentation

Duration: 2 hrs.

The Practical Phase

This is an optional offering that helps a lot to develop more routine and continuously improve the use of AI in day-to-day business. Participants select a task from their general task list, plan a way to solve it using AI, and work through it. At each step, they receive help and feedback.

The Certification

Participants upload their documentation of the practical phase to the certification platform and take a multiple-choice test that reflects the modules they have completed. If 65% of the questions are answered correctly, the participant receives a digital certificate of achievement with the score plus a digital certificate of attendance. If the score is not reached, participants receive only a certificate of attendance.
